USS Hancock CV/CVA-19 Photos

Rob Lee, I noticed your group while scanning Navy sites and thought you might appreciate a few photos. I was never in the Navy but have photographed a number of carriers from the Golden Gate Bridge for the  aircraft involved. My Hancock photos are for August 1958 and 1969. I  will include one of the full ship in 1969 since you were aboard -  maybe you can see yourself in all those white hats lining the deck.

Of all of the carrier photos that I took over the years I consider this to be the most dramatic. This is the Hancock bound for Japan and the Seventh Fleet passing under the Golden Gate Bridge at 5PM in moderate fog on Saturday, August 1, 1958. (Larkins)
